There is limited parking at Safe Start School (using Dale Street East).

Public transport options for Safe Start School include buses serving Ashton-under-Lyne and the Metrolink Tram Network, with the nearest major interchange being Ashton-under-Lyne Interchange. Key bus routes in the area are the 387, 389 and 336/337.
Safe Start School is located next to Tameside Magistrate Court, Ashton Primary Care Centre and Ashton Old Baths.

We are a five minute walk from Ashton-under-Lyne Town Centre.
Accessibility and Our Premises
At Safe Start School, we are committed to being as inclusive and welcoming as possible. Our school is uniquely situated across three units within the same building, and we want to ensure all visitors and prospective families have a clear understanding of our layout:
Main Entrance - Ground Floor: Our primary front door is fully accessible via a purpose-built ramp equipped with secure handrails.
Upper Levels and Other Units: Due to the historic/unique nature of our building, the upper floors and remaining units are accessed via several sets of stairs and narrower corridors. These areas, including some smaller classrooms, are currently not wheelchair accessible.
